I moved to Australia from New Zealand in 2013 and have since been managing the meat for a group of IGA stores scattered around QLD. I became the Manager of Ipswich Quality Meats in October 2017 and have recently had the opportunity to purchase the business with my wife. We couldn’t be happier about our location and are very proud to support our local community with ongoing promotions and giveaways.
My interest in butchery began at a young age. I grew up in Marlborough – located at the top of the South Island in New Zealand. I spent weekends hunting with my Dad and learnt how to butcher wild pigs and deer that we brought home. Upon leaving school I obtained an apprenticeship as a butcher at my local supermarket. I now have 15 years’ experience as a butcher and love every minute of it.
We source local fresh product from a number of suppliers in the Ipswich area. We offer a large variety of meats from value added chicken to the humble rissole and everything in between. You name it we can source it.
